Lockdown has been challenging for people up and down the country, but now, we are in a transitionary phase where restrictions are easing. But how many people can you have in your garden at once? Can you get the whole family round? Well, the guidelines differ depending on where you are in the UK. The restrictions in England look slightly different from those in Scotland and Wales for example.
Here’s a brief overview of how many people you can have in your garden in different places.
England – Up to 6 people from different households can meet up outdoors.
Wales – Gatherings of up to 30 people are now permitted outdoors.
Scotland – People can meet in groups of up to 15 people outdoors from 5 up to 5 different households.
Northern Ireland – Up to 30 people can meet outdoors.
Of course, all of these guidelines are conditional – you must still do your best to maintain social distancing. This is essential if we’re going to avoid a second wave of the pandemic.
