Composite fencing has emerged as a popular choice for homeowners and businesses alike, offering a blend of durability, aesthetics, and sustainability. If you're considering composite fencing for your property but are unsure where to start, you're in the right place. In this comprehensive guide, we'll delve into all you need to know about composite fence panels, from their benefits and installation to maintenance tips and design options.
What is Composite Fencing?
Composite fencing is a type of fencing made from a combination of wood fibres, plastic, and recycled plastic. The result is a fencing material that mimics the look and feel of wood but offers several advantages over traditional wood fencing.
Benefits of Composite Fence Panels:
1. Durability: Composite fence panels are highly durable and resistant to rot, decay, and insect damage. Unlike wood, they won't warp, crack, or splinter over time, ensuring long-lasting performance.
2. Low Maintenance: One of the biggest advantages of composite fencing is its low maintenance requirements. Unlike wood fences that need regular staining or painting, composite fences only require occasional cleaning with soap and water to maintain their appearance.
3. Eco-Friendly: Our composite fence panels are made from recycled materials, making them an environmentally friendly choice. Additionally, their long lifespan and low maintenance requirements contribute to sustainability.
4. Versatility: Composite fence panels come in a variety of colours, styles, and finishes, allowing you to customize the look of your fence to complement your property's aesthetic.
Installation:
Installing composite fence panels is similar to installing traditional wood fencing but may require special tools and techniques. Here's a basic overview of the installation process:
1. Planning: Start by planning the layout of your fence, including the location of your aluminium posts.
2. Securing Posts: Secure your aluminium posts to the floor by using either our bolt down accessory kit or our concrete in accessory kit depending on your preference. Ensure they are level and aligned.
3. Preparing Aluminium Rails: One the posts are in place, using the fixings from the accessory kit, attach the metal plate to your top/bottom rail with the screws provided and then slot the bottom rail into the groove of the posts and slide to the bottom
4. Attaching Panels: Simply slot in your desired fence boards into the grooves of the posts and stack them until you have added all 11 boards.
5. Decorative Bars: If adding 1 decorative bar, slot this between the top and penultimate fence board. If adding 9 decorative bars, slot these between each fence board and only add 10 fence boards rather than 11. Once done, add the top rail to secure your boards/bars.
6. Adding Finishing Touches: Add caps to the top of your aluminium posts and base plate covers to the base plates for a finished and seamless look. Add any other accessories to complete your composite fence installation.

1. Annual Cleaning: Clean your composite fence panels once a year with soap and water to remove dirt, grime, and mildew.
2. Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners on your composite fence, as they can damage the surface.
3. Trim Vegetation: Trim any vegetation growing near your fence to prevent it from causing damage or staining.
Conclusion:
Composite fencing offers a durable, low-maintenance, and eco-friendly alternative to traditional wood fencing. With its many benefits, versatile design options, and easy installation, composite fence panels are an excellent choice for homeowners and businesses looking to enhance their properties.
