For a premium option, our ReversaDek range features capped technology with reversible, dual-sided design that offer two colours in one board, allowing for creative mix-and-match designs. Our top-tier product, ReversaDek Pro, is an enhanced version of ReversaDek, with a solid core that spans greater distance and supplied in a 4.8m length offering the same great features but with superior performance and quality.

Our ReversaDek and ReversaDek Pro ranges of composite decking boards are fully reversible. These premium-quality boards are dual-sided, offering two different colours on each side, which allows for creative mix-and-match designs without the need to purchase additional products. Our EvoDek+ and WeatherDek ranges are not reversible.

Every one of our DeckPlus products undergoes slip testing in both wet and dry environments according to the EN 15534-1:2014 Section 6.4.2 standard. Our test results, even in wet conditions, consistently meet the Low Slip potential rating.

Absolutely, decking can be an effective solution for levelling uneven garden areas. When installing decking on a sloped garden, it's crucial to accurately measure and install the structural joists. You may need to cut the base and joists to varying lengths to achieve a level surface.

While we suggest pairing our boards with our subframe options, it's not mandatory. Customers are free to choose a timber, plastic, or steel subframe. As long as the guidelines in our installation manual are adhered to, your warranty will remain valid.

Our recommended method for securing L edging board trims is using our stainless steel clips to provide a screw free surface for a seamless finish. If you choose to screw them into place we recommend drilling a pilot hole to prevent the material cracking. For a subtle finish, it's best to use screws with heads that match the trim colour—our DeckPlus coloured trim screws are ideal for this.

Certainly. Composite decking can be handled similarly to traditional wood when it comes to cutting, drilling, and fastening. For basic crosscuts, a power circular saw will work well, much like with soft pine. For precise, straight cuts, a power mitre saw is ideal, while a table saw with support extensions can simplify various cutting tasks.

DeckPlus decking should be installed on a solid base with a joist framework, and we suggest using our specially designed composite joists for optimal results. Although we recommend our steel subframe, it's not mandatory – our decking can also be mounted on other subframe materials, such as timber or metal.

On the other hand, our capped composite deck board ranges (ReversaDek & ReversaDek Pro) are encased in a polymer layer that creates a protective barrier around the core, offering superior stain resistance and an easy-to-clean surface.

DeckPlus decking is crafted from 95% recycled content, utilising reclaimed wood, sawdust, and recycled plastic. The material breakdown consists of 60% wood fibres, 30% recycled HDPE, and 10% chemical additives.

DeckPlus composite decking boards generally weigh 50-70% more than similar sections of traditional lumber.

All of our composite decking options offer better fade resistance compared to traditional wood decking. However, the durability of your deck against the elements varies based on the range of DeckPlus composite decking you choose. Our EvoDek+ and WeatherDek ranges will gradually lighten in colour over a period of up to 6 months, eventually reaching a stable, weathered tone with minimal fading afterward. In contrast, our ReversaDek and ReversaDek Pro ranges feature protective shell technology, offering exceptional resistance to fading and stains, ensuring the boards retain their original colour with minimal fading.

Extensive research has shown that the colour of decking boards, whether they are wood-plastic composite or traditional wood, plays a crucial role in heat retention. Darker shades absorb heat more quickly than lighter ones.

When you first install your deck, you might notice some residue from packaging or manufacturing dust, and rain can sometimes leave sand that makes the surface appear dusty. This may lead to temporary watermarks if you attempt to clean it right away. We recommend washing the deck with soapy water and rinsing it thoroughly. A pressure washer can also be effective for cleaning your deck.

Maintaining our composite materials is straightforward and hassle-free. Regular cleaning involves using soap, warm water, and a soft brush, while a jet wash can be used for a more thorough clean. Generally, cleaning your deck twice a year is sufficient to keep it looking its best throughout the seasons. We suggest starting with warm, soapy water or a pressure washer for cleaning. For tougher stains, like ketchup, you can use a mild bleach and water solution if needed.

Although our composite deck boards require minimal upkeep, we advise performing a general cleaning every 3-6 months to keep them looking their best throughout the year. A pressure washer with a maximum pressure of 1900 psi is effective for removing surface dirt and debris. To prevent any damage, use a fan attachment and maintain a distance of at least 300mm from the surface of the boards during cleaning.

We highly recommend against painting or staining DeckPlus composite products. Designed for minimal maintenance, our composite boards are not compatible with traditional staining or painting methods used on wood. The colour of our boards is formulated to remain stable and consistent throughout their lifetime.

We strongly discourage sanding our capped composite deck boards (ReversaDek & ReversaDek Pro) as it can damage the protective polymer layer irreparably and void the warranty. For our uncapped ranges (EvoDek+ & WeatherDek), light sanding can be effective for removing persistent stains. Use 60-grit sandpaper, sanding in the direction of the grain with gentle pressure on the stained area. Although the sanded area may initially appear lighter, it will blend with the board’s colour over time as it is exposed to UV light.

Scuffs are minor, surface-level marks that tend to appear and fade with regular use. They are most noticeable when the boards are first installed but become less visible over time as the surface develops a natural patina. Scuffs are typically caused by foot traffic and furniture and are more evident on darker-coloured boards.

Scratches, on the other hand, are deeper and affect the surface layer, making them more permanent and requiring repair. Common causes include nails, stones, and other sharp objects. For uncapped products like our EvoDek+ & WeatherDek boards, light scratches can be addressed with gentle sanding. For capped products like our ReversaDek & ReversaDek Pro boards, mild scratches can be repaired using a heat gun, but it’s best to consult a professional for proper guidance.
