Case Study: FencePlus Duo Fence in Grey
Barrie Smith from Haverfordwest got in touch with the team at FencePlus, as he was looking to upgrade his old wooden fence with our stylish, low-maintenance composite fencing. Now that the project is finished and looking fantastic, we caught up with Barrie to see how he’s enjoying his transformed garden.
Barrie opted for our contemporary Duo Fence in Grey, with black aluminium posts together with top and bottom rails. When asked whether our product met his expectations, Barrie told us it totally exceeded them. He added that he has received samples from many different suppliers, and felt that the quality of our composite material was exactly what he was after. Barrie’s old wooden fence has been up for many years and his garden was in need of a refresh; “I'm 70 years of age” he told us, “so I just wanted something that looks great and is virtually maintenance free going forward.”
The aesthetics was just as important to Barrie as the functionality of his fencing. He told us about his hot tub and gazebo, affectionately nicknamed the Taj Mahal, and he feels that the new fencing really sets his refreshed garden off. When asked what the greatest benefit of his new fencing is, Barrie said “Well, aesthetics, it looks good. It was installed by me, so it's installed properly, and more importantly, it's maintenance free.” He added that he found it straightforward to install alongside our instructions.
We chatted about his decision to invest in composite fencing. Barrie acknowledged that it was a pricier decision than opting for wooden fencing again, but stressed that our competitively priced composite option was ideal for someone of his age who needed something that “looks tidy and is easy to look after”. It’s an investment into the future of his garden, and gives him more time to relax and enjoy the outdoor space he’s put work into.
FInally, we asked Barrie what impressed him the most about FencePlus. “Ruslan (Fenceplus Sales Executive) was the key driver really, nothing was too much trouble from his perspective.” Barrie added; “I’ve been in sales all my life and know that people buy from people, so I went up to the showroom and met with Ruslan and it was great.” He was so impressed with the product and service that he recommended us to his neighbor, who also placed an order of Duo Fence in Grey, matching the aesthetic of Barries garden perfectly.
